  Nice hotel, but old infrastructure. Past glory, but friendly staff and nice environment. A malfunctioning coffeemaker in the room...but it didn't matter as you are a lot outside sightseeing or on the pretty hotel beach. Not the best hotel in the neighborhood, but definitely not the worst either (but still one of the prettiest hotels) ! I enjoyed my stay, despite some minor inconveniences. Know that in Cuba inconviences are part of the experience. You love it, or you hate it. I love it, as the people and environment make up for the minor issues. Therefore a 4 star rating from me (taking Cuba in consideration. In Europe I would rate it lower)

  First off, the resort is absolutely beautiful From the beach, the pool, the grounds, the rooms and the restaurant were all so well taken care off. The staff, Ahmed and Yoanis, we’re so fun and made sure we enjoyed every minute of our trip! Amazing entertainers! The dancing skills are phenomenal and we will be taking our newly taught salsa lessons home! Can’t wait to come back to Melia Peninsula Varadero!

  The time we spent at the hotel was really pleasant. It is perfect for families and groups of friends. Though they lack staff in certain areas, the y are lovely and we were pleased to talk to them. We loved it here. Thanks for everything.

  Very nice place, except asked for a king size bed and got 2 3/4 beds pushed together (and one bed was higher than the other). Talk to other guest and this is very common. Food was excellent, place was gorgeous but when I go on vacation wirh my better half of course I want to sleep with him.

  Who doesn't love any resort that's in Cuba? It's the fact that your in Cuba that makes it all worth while. Although this wasn't the best resort I've been to, it was still beautiful and we had a great room right across from the beach. We were close to the snack bar and pool. Sure there are a few things that could be better such as the night life. As soon as the shows we're done each day, there wasn't much happening at night. They only had the Disco open three days into our stay. The staff is so friendly and very welcoming. Over all I had a great time, I didn't want to leave.
