::I saw this place on a Discovery Science episode of “Mysteries of The Abandoned.” The six story buildings (four of them) comprise prisoner cell blocks, the one four story structure in the middle is the cafeteria or mess hall. Each cell block has a guard tower in the middle; the guards used an hidden tunnel to enter and exit. The prisoners would not know when they were being watched by the guards and that would control their behavior. Though the program does not explain the semicircle of smaller buildings and the two square buildings to the north of the prison.
