  Was recommended this resort several years ago as a great place to relax and get away from everything. BUT my buddy didn't tell me that it was WAY off the beaten track. Loved it once we got to the hotel, we've been back to the hotel 4 times now and the staff remember you and treat you like family. The food is good in the main buffet restaurant where we usually take our meals as we like to eat when we want to eat and not make reservations for the other 2 restaurants. The best thing about Breezes is that it is great for snorkelling as the reef is right off the beach. Varadero has a better beach BUT the snorkelling is well non-existent as the bottom is sandy a long way out into the water. There is NO shopping at the resort there is a cigar store, a convenience store and a place where you can buy some handicrafts. What this means is that you should bring batteries and other things with you. One of the bonuses of the resort is that it IS way out in the country side so if you wish you can go for a long walk away from the resort and not have to worry as you would in some countries
