  I’ve been staying in many casa particulares, all over Cuba for many years (Casa Evora among them), and I can say that 90% of them are very comfortable. In 2003, I discovered Casa Evora, a penthouse in Old Havana. Once I got there, I fell in love with her place. Undoubtedly the home of Evora is one of the most fabulous homes for its location and comfort. I was amazed by the unbelievable havana accommodation, the beautiful panoramic views from Casa Evora’s penthouse terrace, which had to be at least 60 feet long. The view at sunset was breathtaking. Sitting on the terrace and enjoying the Havana nights was great fun. Evora and her husband were very hospitable, charming and very knowledgeable with respect to all of the interesting sites to see in Havana. From their location on the end of Prado avenue, everything we wanted to see was within easy walking distance including many of historical sites in Old Havana. I would recommend Casa Evora to any traveler seeking a very comfortable, centrally located and well managed casa particulares or Casa Cuba in Havana The only cons is that the accommodation is rather expensive compared to others in the same location and the breakfast is small but sufficient. Mrs. Evora was very helpful with directions though, she speaks almost perfect English. I booked Casa Evora with Leo thru http://casaparticularcuba.org and the communication was excellent.
