::Awful! Terrible! The carpets throughout the entire hotel are disgusting -- more dirty and stained than you can possibly imagine -- probably hasn't been cleaned since the 1970s! It stinks of mold and mildew throughout. They put me on the 4th floor even though the elevator wouldn't go to the 4th floor -- and there were only 3 or 4 other guests in the whole hotel!!! I did love my balcony, which had a great view, but the 3 or 4 guests staying in the hotel were forced to leave because of a storm, which created a major flooding issue. There was NO HOT WATER! Literally had to take freezing cold showers! I did like some of the staff. The food was pretty terrible, though. I don't know... it's Cuba, so you expect problems, but this place was just way too dirty and problematic. It's only a 5 minute walk from a really great hotel and a decent one too. I guess if they replaced all of the nasty carpets, fixed the elevators, and fixed the hot water issues, perhaps it would be worth a stay since it is cheaper than most other hotels...

::This a good hotel and I would come back to the same one and also recommend it . The people and the service were 5 star. My room was clean, cooled, ready immediately and the water pressure was excellent . There were fresh towels and bed sheets. I paid for the internet but It was good speed. The breakfast and lunch were tasty. I dont understand the other negative reviews. I dont think they stayed at the same hotel or they had an ax to grind. Cuba is developing and will get better as time pass. As a matter of fact this is the best time to visit. In a decade or or so many of the places in Cuba will look like typical touristic Island. Yes, there are some areas that needed some touch up but over all its was comfortable. It is seconds from the beach and only minutes from Havana. If want to be in havana and pay $300.00 a night and have a Marriott Hotel like stay, this is not for you. In additional, change your US dollars at the bank in cuba or to Euros in the USA. You should get a better exchange rate.

::Had a large suite, with comfortable big bed, on top floor with good views from the balcony. Spent a day by the.pool which was popular with locals having family lunches. Was able to snorkle next to the.hotel, with a foodmarket 700mm away. Wifi cards at reception and wifi in lobby and pool..Breakfast included with a wide choice. The room was tired, could have been cleaner, water pressure was weak and cool, and an extra pillow would have been good but it was fine for the money.

::MOLDY rooms and it rains inside during bad weather, this is not a safe hotel to stay at. No toilet paper available and really bad food. Cannot recommend this to anyone even if you get paid to stay here!
