::A pretty basic, all inclusive hotel. One Buffet,One a la carte. I know Cuba's not known for the best resort food...and some days were better than others. The a la carte however was top notch! Fresh Juice Smoothie bar near the pool everyday was also a favourite. A bit too quiet at Tuxpan for me...but zero complaints. Beach was georgeous!

::The room was always cold, I tried turning the heat on and it did nothing. The WILL rip you off at the currency exchange at the reception desk. Do it before you leave or at the air port. Most workers were very friendly. They constantly play music (extremely loud) at the pool. The outside bar says they serve a whole menu of food but when you ask they only serve ham sanwhiches which were the first day but quickly got tiresome of having them. We had a good stay, just little things weren’t the best.

::Mojitos always available & Havana Club Especial. Beach was excellent as I would expect. Pool was well attended as well. 1st floor is ideal room area. Good variety of foods. Excellent for challenged persons. Staff are very helpful.

::We spent a 7 days at the Tuxpan Resort. Our stay was very enjoyable, the staff was very nice, the food was really good. The pool was cold, the weather wasn't all that warm either. Expect to pay for a taxi, as you are away from town. which is about 5 cuc. You can exchange money at the resort which was very nice, the rate wasn't as good as the bank, but the convience was great.

::Stayed at the Tuxpan week of January 13/19. Read numerous reviews before we left and was wondering if I had made the right decision on resorts to stay at. Well turns out I picked a great one!! The hotel is older but kept very clean. If something needed to be fixed they came and handled it immediately. The food was not Canadian food but if you starve you only have yourself to blame. My Daughter is the pickiest person in the world and she found lots she would eat. The resort is smaller which I like, no waiting in long line ups for food or at the bars. Beach was gorgeous with lots of chairs for lounging. Security is also top notch. Felt safe and secure at all times. If rowdies started getting out of hand they were immediately dealt with and removed. But the most enjoyable part of the trip were the amazing people that work at the resort! These people are so friendly and work so hard to do their best to please you. I will be coming back to the Tuxpan again next year and for years to come as I love this place that much!!! You must remember that you are coming to a country that does not get much Western influence at all. They must make due with what they have, which is not alot. So if you come to this hotel or Cuba in general expecting accommodations and food like you would get at the Hilton in downtown Toronto or LA, then stay home because you will be disappointed.
